Tiny Tattoos

Tiny Tattoo Sensors may put an end to finger pricking!

Imagine having a tattoo that changes colour with your rising BGL’s?  Scientists are testing these high-tech sensors, which will be embedded under the skin much like a tattoo.

How will it work?

The tiny spheres in the tattoo will contain a special ink that reacts with the glucose in your system and changes colour when your BGL rises.  The tattoo’s inventor, biomedical engineer Heather Clark, has already had positive results testing the tattoo on mice … followed by human trials, hopefully within the next five years.
