Apple Crumble

3 Tablespoons (45g) Flora light margarine
2 Weet-Bix
1 Cup self-raising flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons skim milk
1 x 800g can pie apple (unsweetened)
Preheat oven to 180c fan forced
Melt margarine.  In a medium size mixing bowl crush weet-bix finely, add melted margarine and milk, blend until mixture resembles a crumble texture.  Place pie apple in base of a casserole dish (8 cup capacity), sprinkle crumble mixture over apple and bake for 40 – 45 minutes.
This serves 8 with Carbs of 33.9g per serve

Dietitian Tip
Apples have a low GI.  This is great dish for everyone including people with diabetes.
